Simon Bland

Simon left his role in Local Government in 2025 as Head of the Economic Prosperity Reigate and Banstead Borough Council having led a team delivering several initiatives designed to support businesses from start-up to multinational.

In this role he was also active in encouraging economic development within Surrey and the Gatwick Diamond area. He was well known and respected for his committed to collaborative working and encouraging initiatives resulting in real change.

He has helped many entrepreneurs as they looked to develop their business, helping them to achieve growth and create employment.

Winner of the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards Business Person of the Year 2025 and recognised for his contribution to the Gatwick Diamond.
