This course will help you to be more agile in your leadership, equipping you with the skills and mindset to tailor your style to get the best out of your people in any given situation.
What we will cover:
Embracing a flexible approach – Flexibility means meeting someone else where they’re at. We'll explore the need for versatility in how you lead your people.
Knowing your default – We all have a way of doing things and it’s important you understand your preferred leadership style so you can begin to work out when and where to flex it.
A model to flex your style – We'll introduce you to a tried and tested model for working out what your approach needs to be, based on an individual’s capability and motivation for the work. We’ll then get you to map your team on this model so you can work out what you need to keep and change in your approach to leading them.
Learning how to flex – We'll explore the key features of the core leadership styles from directive to coaching and motivating to delegating, giving you tips and tools to ensure you’re clear on how to tailor your approach
