Flare Audio started in 2010 in a garage in a garden. As a small team of three they built their first loudspeakers and provided PA for gigs and festivals – sound testing under makeshift gazebo’s whilst trying not to wake the neighbours. The business has transformed from being a pro audio manufacturer, reinventing the loud speaker ( drawing praise from Jarvis Cocker , Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and Richard Hawley in the process ) to developing products for reducing resonance ( or sound distortion ) . Confident that their technologies could be “minaturised “ in 2015 they launched their first consumer earphone by a crowdfunding campaign which raised over £2 million towards their Isolate ear protector. Since then they have launched their pro earphone range and high and recycled loudspeaker range and more recently the highly successful in ear devices that enhance and improve everyday sound .
Davies and his co director Naomi were introduced to the MDHUB via one of our Peer programmes during the pandemic and have made a marked impression of the MDHUB and members in a very short period of time.

Rob Day’s comments:
I’ve not known Davies very long – as he’s a new member to MDHUB – but even in the few sessions that we’ve had the pleasure of working with Davies, his unique take on the world is like a breath of fresh air.
Davies is a natural born problem solver at heart and he’s incredible generous and passionate with his deep well of knowledge and wisdom.
Davies true genius is his ability to spot those gaps in a well-established, competitive, tried and tested marketplace and leverage it to Flare’s competitive advantage using a combination of his deep curiosity and engineering prowess.
Davies will turn his hand to anything where he thinks he can do things differently. And boy is it working for Flare Audio!
Helen Bailey’s comments:
Davies is an inventor, he is revolutionising the world of mental health and well being through a unique understanding of the ears and applying his unique perception into inventing ear devices from ‘Calmer’, to reduce annoying noises to earphones that will allow you to hear sound quality as if it was live in the room.
Davies is an extraordinary leader who when he hears the word ‘no’ uses it to rocket fuel his plans but never forgets the people who stand around it and make things happen especially his extraordinary co-founder Naomi.
