The beginning - your 'eureka' moment

The moment I realised how unnecessarily complex people (and organisations) like to make things. There's always a simpler, more elegant (and invariably beautiful) solution, and that's what we love to do.

What gets you out of bed in the morning, what motivates you?

The fact that everyday is different - new challenges, new people, great team - it's not one thing - but more a combination of things.

Luck or skill, what gets you further?

Both - Definitely need luck to win that first big client, or try that new technology, but I doubt we'd even try if we didn't think we had the core skills in the first place.

Ability to spot an opportunity and make it work with the resources, connections and skills that are available to you.

Your top tips

1. Work out why you're doing this in the first place.
2. Re-visit and reality check number 1 regularly.
3. First and foremost - do it because you love it.
4. Stay flexible and open minded - you never know what's around the corner.
