Themed Wild Card Workgroups - Managing Through the Ages
Some of you may have read about our upcoming themed Wild Card Workgroups in our recent Newsletter. These groups will focus on different issues affecting most people at some point or another, for example managing both millennials and employees who have caring responsibilities outside of work or those affected by the life changes that mid-life can bring such as Menopause or Andropause.
The workgroups outlined below will have focussed guided discussion as follows:
Mid-Life – Menopause / Andropause
Menopause and Andropause bring their challenges but it’s fantastic that this once-taboo subject can now be openly discussed as an everyday topic. This Workgroup will examine the impact of menopause and andropause in the workplace. It will be an opportunity to hear from others about their experiences and to share what policies and practices you might like to consider.
Balancing caring responsibilities with running a business
Rushing off to care for a sick child, taking an elderly relative to a hospital appointment or caring for a sick or disabled family member can be regular calls on everyone’s time, but there are phases when caring obligations become excessive and it all becomes a juggling act. We all have different ways of coping with these unpredictable situations, so why not share them with others in the group and perhaps learn new strategies and ideas to help balance your caring responsibilities with the demands of running a business.
In usual MDHUB style, we are looking forward to lively debate on all these topics with some tangible take-away tips and ideas.
