Neilson Scoops Globe Award
One of Brighton’s largest employers, Neilson Holidays, is celebrating following its success at the UK’s most prestigious travel industry awards, the Globe Travel Awards 2013 where Neilson was awarded ‘Best Ski and Active Holiday Company’ voted for by the all-important British public.
The tour operator which employs 120 people at its headquarters in Brighton’s Marina and over a thousand overseas staff was presented with the award by comedian Michael McIntyre at the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane on 17th January 2013.
Neilson’s Managing Director, Pete Tyler, who heads up the operation at Brighton HQ said, ‘This is the second year running that we have won this award as well as on numerous occasions in the past 10 years.
It was a pleasure to collect the award from comedian Michael McIntyre…and this trophy will sit alongside a number of travel awards Neilson has picked up in the last year including 'Favourite ski company' by Telegraph readers at the Telegraph Travel Awards 2012, ‘Best Sports Travel & Tourism Site’ at the Travelmole 2012 Web Awards as well as 'Best Medium-Size Ski Company' at the British Travel Awards 2012.
Congratulations to the whole Neilson team and many thanks to all our colleagues and partners within Thomas Cook and the wider travel industry.’
